The AS9100C is the Quality Management Systems – Requirements for Aviation, Space and Defense Organizations standard. It includes all of the same requirements as ISO 9001:2008, but specifies additional Aviation, Space and Defense industry requirements. Some of these requirements that are different from ISO 9001:2008 are Project Management, Risk Management, Configuration Management, and Control of Work Transfers.

With the ISO 9001:2015 standard undergoing revision, there will soon be an AS9100 revision to align the aerospace standard with ISO 9001:2015. AS9100:2016 is expected to be released in April of next year. Stay tuned to learn about key changes coming our way.
