Inaugural Training Class at New Location a Success

Mireaux has completed its inaugural three-day QMS ISO 9001 Internal Auditor class at its new Headquarters and Training Center, to great success and rave reviews. Each day was filled with solid teachings, fun workshops, and excellent food!

Over the course of the three-day class, attendees learned the ins and outs of the ISO 9001:2008 standard using Mireaux’s four-point approach, focusing on what the standard says, what it means, how to implement it in an organization, and how to audit against it. Lecture sessions taught by Mireaux’s founder and president, Miriam Boudreaux, were reinforced with hands-on workshops, including one where trainees worked in teams to create miniature football goalposts, then assess their performance and file nonconformance reports as needed.

“Miriam knows her stuff, that is for sure,” said Alex Spriggs of Zupt, LLC. “I came in knowing nothing about internal auditing and now am confident in my role in my workplace as an internal auditor.” Attendees listening intently.

This class was the first held at Mireaux’s brand-new training facility, remodeled to provide a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere for learning.

“The training room at Mireaux was the perfect size,” said Trisha Boyle of Langham Creek Machine Works, Inc., a Mireaux consulting client. “Miriam did a great job of covering an extraordinary amount of material and really kept us on schedule.”
