After a long string of cold and gloomy days, Mireaux employees enjoyed a picture-perfect day with a planned outing to Hermann Park and the Houston Museum of Natural Science. It was a beautiful day for a picnic, where pizza and casual conversation ruled, telling some jokes and sharing stories of our everyday work life. Miriam Boudreaux explains, “It’s amazing how we often get so wrapped around our work, that we never get to stop and smell the roses, but this time, we could not have a asked for a better time to do that.”
Miriam continues, “We routed our phones to voice mail and headed downtown to to the beautiful weather, and each other’s company. Our main goal was to let our employees know that we appreciate their hard work, and that we do care about them and their well-being.”
The Energy exhibit was a fantastic way to see the work that many of our current clients do and how it is part of upstream and downstream oil and gas production. In fact, many of the procedures or assets that our Technical Writers write about were on exhibit for them to see. Miriam adds, “This was a really enjoyable and productive outing, one that put our employees in contact with the very industry they document.” Mireaux has quarterly outings with their employees to build camaraderie and friendships.
