Mireaux on the road to ISO 27001 certification

Mireaux has officially engaged with BSI to obtain ISO 27001 Certification. Mireaux’s Web QMS, a hosted, cloud-based Enterprise Management software, is the main driver for this goal. However, Mireaux’s Consulting and Auditing services also require the organizing and upkeep of Clients’ information, and the ISO 27001 certification will only prove that we excel at this.

ISO 27001 is one of the most widely recognized and internationally accepted information security standards, and Mireaux is prepared to become one of the few Consulting firms to hold this certification. This certification will further demonstrate Mireaux’s commitment to safeguarding all of their Clients’ information, whether it is on Web QMS or not.

This project has been quite different, since a new version of the ISO 27001 Standard was released in 2013 and many requirements have changed compared to the previous 2005 version. Indeed, the ISO 27001 Standard has been one of the first standards to introduce the High Level Structure which will be the theme of all future standard versions, including the ISO 9001. Luckily, all of the Mireaux team has been very supportive and are always ready to help in the certification process. Achieving this certification will be a huge step for Mireaux that will lead us to continue with our active commitment… to protect and secure our assets (Web QMS, documents, computers, etc.) and our Clients’ data.

Mireaux first achieved ISO 9001 certification in 2012. Mireaux CEO and Founder Miriam Boudreaux says, “Being in the hosting environment comes with great responsibility over the data being hosted. And although data within Web QMS is not sensitive, we felt the need to demonstrate that we safeguard all information that transverses Mireaux by following internationally recognized standards.”

Mireaux is excited about this endeavor and looks forward to adding another certification to its portfolio and to demonstrate its commitment to excellence.
