Good quality professionals are constantly looking for the root cause of issues, to nip problems in the bud. However, as Miriam, Mike, and Dirk pointed out, politicians are constrained by their electoral mandates, which usually demand quick fixes that don’t go beyond the surface causes of problems. On the other hand, quality professionals can be linear in their thinking. By adopting the mindset of a more creative professional, such as an artist, a quality professional can free herself up to find out-of-the-box solutions to tough problems.
