Welcome to our Marketing Intern

Welcome to our Marketing Intern

Monday, the 25th of March marked the first day for Maureen at Mireaux Management Solutions, our new French intern who will be with us for 4 months. She will be working in various projects in the Marketing and Communications areas.

Maureen’s first evening in the USA
The process for Maureen to complete her internship in the US, involved a lot of paperwork and was a rather tedious one. Maureen was excited that her first day was finally here and she couldn’t wait to start her internship. On the first day, while touring the office with Melissa, our Accounting Admin, Maureen told us “I couldn’t help but feel a sense of happiness as I discovered my own office space. It was a spacious, comfortable office with a window that let daylight in. I looked forward start working here every day”.

Meeting our team was next on the agenda for Maureen’s first day. She was introduced to Stacy, Jennifer, Geno, and Miriam, our CEO. It was apparent that Maureen felt a sense of camaraderie and belonging. We wanted to ensure that Maureen felt welcome and had the assurance that this was going to be a fantastic experience.

For lunch, Melissa heard through the grapevine -that Maureen loved pizza- so she ordered delicious pizzas for everyone to enjoy. It was a perfect opportunity for our team to connect and get to know each other better. As we chatted and laughed over slices of pizza, we exchanged stories about our different cultures and backgrounds that lend to the diversity of our company. In fact, our own CEO came from Peru at a similar age like Maureen, so the commonalities of our experience were vast. Maureen felt a sense of appreciation for the diverse and inclusive workplace she had joined. The conversation was enlightening and entertaining, and Maureen was grateful for the opportunity to learn more about the USA, new working habits and customs, as well as…ISO and API standards!

Box of Chocolats from “Jeff de Bruges”

Maureen also welcomed us with a beautiful “Jeff de Bruges” box of Belgian chocolates that she had bought at an authentic “Jeff de Bruges” store in Bruges, Belgium. Everyone at MMS is a chocolate lover, so we were grateful for this thoughtful gesture. Maureen was happy to share these chocolates with us and helped us identify the assorted flavors of chocolates included -because each wrapper was written in French.

Overall, Maureen’s first day was a resounding success. She felt welcomed, supported, and happy to be part of such a fantastic team. She can’t wait to see what the next four months hold in store for her at Mireaux, and we know that with such a positive and friendly work environment, she is going to thrive.
