From Cheese to Cheers: Our Team Celebrates Employee Birthday with Memorable Raclette Lunch!

Our team at Mireaux Management Solutions started the year off in January with an excellent gathering to celebrate the birthday of one of our longest-tenured employees, Geno. It was also a great occasion for eating a good French meal in our newly unwrapped “Raclette”.

“January is always a great month to reunite as a team, so we truly enjoyed celebrating Geno. Geno is a loyal employee who has been with us for over 9 years. Loyalty is big in my book and I find it to be a rare trait nowadays. We usually run a small team in the office, as most of our Consultants and Auditors operate from the field, so having such a tight knit team is like having an extension of our families, which makes any celebration merrier,” commented Miriam Boudreaux, CEO of Mireaux.

As lunch started, we talked about how we celebrated the New Year just a few days ago, with our families and friends. We also talked about our New Year Resolutions and how we all hope to have a great year together at work and at home. We are definitely ready to accomplish our [ISO] objectives!

It was the first time for our team to use the “Raclette” together. Luckily, one of our Consultants, Ron S. who spent most of his career at Schlumberger stationed in several countries including France, was in the house! Ron told us many stories of how employees in France would setup raclettes in the company patios, many times in cold weather; and used the raclette to warm themselves up. We loved hearing these stories as we tried to discover how to best prepare our meal combinations. Of course for us it was cheese, meat, the good ole French bread plus many other “fixings”.

We all sang Happy Birthday with an amazing cake. Geno beamed with joy, clearly touched by the gesture. It was a reminder of how much we value him and his contributions to the company.

The half cake was a masterpiece, topped with colorful frosting and strawberries. We each had a slice and savored the delicious flavors. It was a great way to mark the occasion and show our appreciation for our colleague’s hard work and dedication.

As we enjoyed our cake, we reminisced about some of the memorable moments we had shared with our associate over the years. From project successes to company events, we had been through a lot together. We also talked about the future and the exciting things that were in store for our team and the company as a whole.Happy birthday to our amazing colleague – we are lucky to have you as part of the Mireaux team!
