We definitely learned a lot, a small company with no ISO structure accomplished and learned so much in a few months. Now we are planning to expand and take everything we learned with the Mireaux group and apply it as we grow.
In mid-2014, at the push of several selected clients, Aqueos Corporation made the decision to pursue our ISO accreditation. Not wanting to do anything halfway, we elected to simultaneously obtain integrated ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certifications.
Lacking in-house expertise, we evaluated several consulting firms for assistance in the endeavor. Our primary criterion was to develop a sustainable process which would live on in our company’s culture long after the accreditation was obtained and to have it cover the company from the management to the working crews on location. Both of the other consultants, despite being located closer and with less costly projections could not seem to grasp our concept. Only Miriam Boudreaux, with past experience and references from within the diving industry, understood our goals and offered a customized approach to building our quality culture. While initially using their WebQMS database for our document control, we obtained our certifications in approximately one year and are currently in the process of rolling the database into our own under our control.
MMS has been with us at every step of the process, educating our personnel, respectfully guiding our decisions and coordinating the final accreditation.

On October 23, 2009 we had our first meeting and sensing the urgency on our part, Ms. Boudreaux had a contract prepared and therefore we signed the contract on the spot. I am please to say that as of March 31, 2010 we are an ISO 9001 certified company thanks to DNV and Mireaux Management Solutions.
Ms. Boudreaux and her team worked diligently to meet our strict deadlines. They basically created an infrastructure that we never had, going beyond the requirements of ISO to ensure that all of our Human Resources and Operating practices were formalized. We have already benefited from the many procedures, forms and policies they implemented, saving our company money. As a small company, there were many processes we were just doing ad hoc or had never charted. They brought their experience with larger companies, and implemented improvements that truly added value to us. Most of all, they complied with our deadlines, despite the holidays and the end of the year.

Project Description: Revamping of existing Quality Management System and assistance with re-certification process (2006).
I am pleased to be able to recommend and serve as a reference for Miriam Boudreaux as an expert Quality Management System (QMS) consultant.
Ms. Boudreaux was retained by Hart InterCivic in early 2006 to perform an independent internal audit of the Colorado Division’s QMS as part of its normal systems monitoring for ISO 9001:2000 certification. The audit conducted and the subsequent report produced by Ms. Boudreaux revealed a number of systemic deficiencies that were not previously identified during the regular surveillance audit by the certification body just a couple months earlier. Upon further investigation of the findings by Ms. Boudreaux, management determined a significant revamping of the QMS was required.
Ms. Boudreaux was instrumental in helping to update the Hart Colorado QMS, including management consulting, drafting procedures, providing training and performing additional audits as necessary to verify and validate the corrective actions taken were appropriate and effective. Within a few months, Hart had adopted a completely restructured and revised QMS that was inherently simpler and better understood by the users of the system, thus attaining a significantly greater level of acceptance and compliance. Ms. Boudreaux’s consultative approach working within existing processes ensured the new QMS was immediately recognized and embraced by the company.
In December 2006, Hart’s Colorado facility not only successfully passed its triennial ISO 9001:2000 recertification audit with a new accredited certification body, but was also able to expand the scope of its QMS certification.

Project Description: Revamping of existing Quality Management System and assistance with re-certification process (2006).
I am pleased to be able to recommend and serve as a reference for Miriam Boudreaux as an expert Quality Management System (QMS) consultant.
Ms. Boudreaux was retained by Hart InterCivic in early 2006 to perform an independent internal audit of the Colorado Division’s QMS as part of its normal systems monitoring for ISO 9001:2000 certification. The audit conducted and the subsequent report produced by Ms. Boudreaux revealed a number of systemic deficiencies that were not previously identified during the regular surveillance audit by the certification body just a couple months earlier. Upon further investigation of the findings by Ms. Boudreaux, management determined a significant revamping of the QMS was required.
Ms. Boudreaux was instrumental in helping to update the Hart Colorado QMS, including management consulting, drafting procedures, providing training and performing additional audits as necessary to verify and validate the corrective actions taken were appropriate and effective. Within a few months, Hart had adopted a completely restructured and revised QMS that was inherently simpler and better understood by the users of the system, thus attaining a significantly greater level of acceptance and compliance. Ms. Boudreaux’s consultative approach working within existing processes ensured the new QMS was immediately recognized and embraced by the company.
In December 2006, Hart’s Colorado facility not only successfully passed its triennial ISO 9001:2000 recertification audit with a new accredited certification body, but was also able to expand the scope of its QMS certification.

Paul [Instructor] made sure to answer any questions I had, along with taking the time to review things that needed extra clarification. He went above and beyond to explain other related questions. I’m sitting in our annual internal audit this week. I’m enjoying bragging about the changes you all have made and how much easier it has made my job. The improvement to CIPs was one discussed yesterday. When I was explaining to the auditor how everything, regardless of source, was previously under CIP, compared to now, with all findings, actions, etc, kept with the original source. The auditor was impressed and completely agreed at how much better and more improved the system is.

During our demo of MOC app, Nate expressed how happy they were with their Audit of Who Ben Magnet Cove. He said they passed their API Audit with 4 minor nonconformities. He wanted me to give thanks to our team, Geno, Stacy, and Jennifer for everything we did for them. He said that in 4 months they were able to put everything in Web QMS and that the whole audit went really well.
He also said that the API Auditor said he may have heard of Web QMS but kept very professional, without mentioning names.

In mid-2014, at the push of several selected clients, Aqueos Corporation made the decision to pursue our ISO accreditation. Not wanting to do anything halfway, we elected to simultaneously obtain integrated ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certifications.
Lacking in-house expertise, we evaluated several consulting firms for assistance in the endeavor. Our primary criterion was to develop a sustainable process which would live on in our company’s culture long after the accreditation was obtained and to have it cover the company from the management to the working crews on location. Both of the other consultants, despite being located closer and with less costly projections could not seem to grasp our concept. I wanted to thank you for our new QMS system! The migration phase was a breeze and very quick. Since the system has been in place, I’ve received excellent support from you and your staff. Each time questions or concerns have risen, your staff has responded promptly and has respectfully worked with me to solve the problem.
It is so much better having an online based system as opposed to our old manual paper pushing system. Since switching to the online system, we have seen employee involvement in the program greatly increase. Employees are taking to the website to raise CIPs much more often than before.
Additionally, we have been able to involve more employees in the problem solving process addressing CIPs. Having an online based system has also greatly improved my ability to track and organize CIPs. I love that I can see the status of each CIP and know exactly where it is in the process by looking at one screen.
Furthermore, I have found the system to be much more user friendly than the last system. Updating, editing, and removing information is very simple and fast!
One of my favorite improvements is the calibration tracking system. What a dream! It is so easy to update, add, remove and track information regarding our equipment. Prior to tracking calibration on the web, we used a manual spreadsheet system. As you know, without single point management, spreadsheets can be a nightmare.
One of the greatest things about the new tracking system, is getting reminder emails of what is coming up for calibration. It makes for one less thing I have to remember manually check on a spreadsheet.
I’m truly gratefully for this part of the system! It was a pleasure working with you to get the system up and running, and I look forward to working with you in the future as well. I will definitely recommend your company to others!
