Description

ISO 14001 Internal Auditor combines the full ISO 14001:2026 implementation sequence with practical internal auditing techniques. Participants learn how environmental context, climate change, biodiversity, resource efficiency, life cycle thinking, compliance obligations, operational controls, and performance evaluation fit together in an effective EMS.

Participants then apply ISO 19011:2026 guidance to audit programs, auditing principles, auditor competence and independence, risk-based planning, on-site, remote, and hybrid methods, checklists, audit trails, interviews, digital evidence, findings, opening and closing meetings, and audit reports.

Built on Mireaux’s proven experience implementing and auditing management systems, this course covers:

The result is both an implementation roadmap and a practical foundation for auditing an environmental management system.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

Explain the structure, intent, and current priorities of ISO 14001:2026.
Interpret ISO 14001 requirements and translate them into EMS processes, responsibilities, controls, and evidence.
Identify environmental aspects and impacts, compliance obligations, risks, opportunities, objectives, and planning actions.
Evaluate EMS performance through monitoring, compliance evaluation, internal audit, management review, nonconformity, and corrective action.
Apply ISO 19011:2026 auditing principles and explain auditor competence, independence, confidentiality, and professional judgment.
Plan a risk-based audit with clear objectives, scope, criteria, methods, sampling priorities, and an effective agenda.
Conduct opening meetings, interviews, document and record reviews, audit trails, evidence collection, and closing meetings.
Write clear, evidence-based findings and audit reports, and follow up on correction and corrective action.

Prerequisites

No formal prerequisites are required. Familiarity with environmental management or management system processes is helpful but not required.

Successful Completion

Successful completion requires review of required materials, completion of assigned activities and workshops, and a passing score on all applicable knowledge checks or course tests.

Registration Transfer Policy

Registrations can be transferred to other participants or to other courses provided by Mireaux Management Solutions 30 days prior to the course start date.

There will be a 15% administrative fee applied to each registration transfer.
Payment for any difference in price, including the 15% administrative fee, will be required at the time of transfer to other courses of equal or greater value of the original paid amount.
Registration Transfers to a course of lesser value are allowed but are not eligible for refunds.
Registration Transfers are not allowed within 30 days of the course start date.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be submitted in writing to [email protected] 30 days prior to the course start date in order to receive a refund, minus a 15% administrative fee. Cancellations are not allowed within 30 days of the course start date.
