Description

Effective internal audits do more than confirm conformance – they provide reliable insight that helps strengthen the management system. This course applies ISO 19011:2026 guidance to audit principles, risk-based planning, auditor competence, independence, professional judgment, and evidence-based conclusions.

Through realistic workshops and audit scenarios, participants practice how to:

  • Support an effective internal audit program.
  • Prepare audit plans, agendas, checklists, and useful audit trails.
  • Conduct opening meetings, interviews, evidence collection, and closing meetings.
  • Evaluate objective evidence and write clear, defensible findings.
  • Prepare concise audit reports that support corrective action and continual improvement.

The course also addresses the evolving audit environment, including on-site, remote, and hybrid audit methods; digital evidence; information security; and responsible use of technology and AI-assisted evaluation.

Learning Objectives​

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Explain the purpose of ISO 19011:2026 and apply its auditing principles.
  • Explain how a risk-based internal audit program supports management-system effectiveness.
  • Evaluate auditor competence, independence, objectivity, and professional judgment.
  • Prepare audit plans, agendas, checklists, and useful audit trails.
  • Conduct opening meetings, interviews, evidence collection, and closing meetings professionally.
  • Evaluate objective evidence and develop defensible audit findings and conclusions.
  • Prepare concise reports that communicate results and support improvement.
  • Recognize considerations for on-site, remote, and hybrid auditing, digital evidence, information security, and technology-assisted evaluation.

Prerequisites​

No formal prerequisite is required.

Working familiarity with a management system and practical workplace processes is recommended.

Participants who are new to management systems may benefit from reviewing their organization’s applicable standard and internal audit process before attending.

Registration Transfer Policy

Registrations can be transferred to other participants or to other courses provided by Mireaux Management Solutions 30 days prior to the course start date.

  • Registration Transfers must be submitted in writing to [email protected].
  • There will be a 15% administrative fee applied to each registration transfer.
  • Payment for any difference in price, including the 15% administrative fee, will be required at the time of transfer to other courses of equal or greater value of the original paid amount.
  • Registration Transfers to a course of lesser value are allowed but are not eligible for refunds.
  • Registration Transfers are not allowed within 30 days of the course start date.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be submitted in writing to [email protected] 30 days prior to the course start date in order to receive a refund, minus a 15% administrative fee. Cancellations are not allowed within 30 days of the course start date.
