Description

API Q2, 3rd Edition establishes quality management system requirements for organizations that provide services and service-related products to the petroleum and natural gas industry. This instructor-led course provides a structured introduction to the standard and connects its requirements to the way service work is planned, controlled, performed, monitored, and improved.  Participants begin with API Q2 and QMS fundamentals, then examine the standard’s scope, terminology, and Clause 4 system requirements. The course follows the service lifecycle through Clause 5, including service and SRP planning, purchasing and supplier controls, execution, validation, equipment, nonconformity, and management of change. Clause 6 connects measurement, analysis, corrective action, internal audit, and management review to ongoing system effectiveness.  API-developed examples, guided discussions, practical exercises, and knowledge checks help participants interpret the requirements and recognize the evidence needed to demonstrate conformity. The course closes with a recap and assessment that reinforces the relationship between documented controls and reliable service outcomes.  Participants leave prepared to support implementation, participate in system maintenance, and communicate API Q2 expectations within their organization. Those who need deeper application practice can continue with API Q2 Practitioner – 3rd Edition.
