Description

API Q2 defines the requirements for a Quality Management System (QMS) for organizations that provide services in the upstream petroleum and natural gas industry.

This course introduces the development and evolution of API Q2, including its origins following the Macondo incident and its focus on improving service quality, reliability, and risk management. Participants will explore the structure of the standard and gain a high-level understanding of its key clauses.

The course covers essential concepts such as service realization, service-related products (SRP), risk assessment, management of change (MOC), and control of nonconformities. Participants will also learn how API Q2 differs from API Q1, particularly in its emphasis on service-based operations.

Finally, the course outlines the API Q2 certification process, including implementation, internal audits, management review, and API audits.
