Description

API Q1 specifies the requirements for a Quality Management System (QMS) for organizations that manufacture products or provide manufacturing-related processes in the petroleum and natural gas industry.

This course introduces the evolution of API Q1, highlighting key revisions and the transition toward a more industry-specific standard. Participants will review the structure of the standard and focus on its main clauses, including quality management system requirements, product realization, and monitoring and improvement.

Key concepts such as risk management, management of change (MOC), supplier control, and contingency planning are introduced at a high level. The course also explains the API Monogram Program and outlines the steps required to achieve API Q1 certification.

  • Summarize the history and major revisions of API Q1
  • Identify the structure of the API Q1 standard
  • Recognize the key requirements within:

Prerequisites​

  • No prior API experience is required.

  • A basic understanding of business processes and quality concepts is helpful but not necessary.

  • Designed for beginners, managers, or staff who are new to API Q1.

Successful Completion​

To receive a certificate of completion, participants must:

  • Complete all course modules

  • Pass the final test with a minimum score of 70%.

  • Complete the course within the allotted access period.

Upon successful completion, participants will receive a digital certificate that can be downloaded directly from Mireaux University.
