This comprehensive 3-day course equips participants with the knowledge and skills needed to both understand and audit ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems. The training combines Mireaux’s highly regarded 2-Day Implementation course with an additional day focused on Internal Auditing Techniques—making it ideal for individuals preparing to take on internal auditing responsibilities within their organization.

The ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor training course delivers a deep dive into the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 standard and provides hands-on training in how to perform internal audits effectively and confidently.

Over the course of three days, participants will:

  • Learn the foundational principles of ISO 9001:2015, including the High Level Structure (HLS) shared across all ISO management system standards.

  • Explore the standard clause-by-clause to understand what it requires, how to implement it, and how to assess compliance.

  • Develop practical auditing skills through guided instruction and real-world scenarios—from planning and conducting audits to reporting findings and following up on nonconformities.

This course is ideal for organizations seeking to train internal auditors or professionals aiming to contribute more effectively to their company’s QMS and audit programs.

ISO 9001:2015 Standard:

  • The structure and common elements of ISO management system standards, including HLS, common text, and terminology.
  • How to apply the Process Approach to define and manage business processes.
  • Steps to successfully implement a Quality Management System from the ground up.
  • Each clause of the ISO 9001:2015 standard—what it says, how to apply it, and how to audit it.
  • The path to certification and how to prepare for a third-party audit.

Internal Auditing Techniques:

  • The roles and responsibilities of internal auditors.
  • How to plan and schedule internal audits.
  • How to conduct effective audits through interviews, observations, and documentation review.
  • How to write clear, actionable nonconformities and produce professional audit reports.
  • How to perform audit follow-up and ensure proper closure of nonconformities.

Prerequisites​

There are no required prerequisites for this course. However, individuals who are new to ISO or management systems may benefit from Mireaux’s Fundamentals or Advanced Document Control course to gain a solid introduction before attending.
