OHSAS stands for the “Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series.”
It is an Occupational Health and Safety standard. It provides guidelines to identify and control occupational health and safety risks, reduce the potential for accidents, aid legislative compliance, and improve overall productivity within the context of a management system.
OHSAS 18001 has been developed to be compatible with the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards. All of these standards can be integrated as per the organization’s requirement, to form an Integrated Management System.
